Sadly, due to the loss of much of our grazing and our stables, Pirouette Shetland Stud has several ponies to offer for sale.
We are fortunate to have some land of our own, so we will be retaining some of our stock, but the decision of which of our ponies to part with has been long, and hard.
None of the ponies we are parting with are for sale through any fault of their own, just our very sad change in circumstances.
Genuine little lorry designed to carry 2 horses, or 3 ponies with an extra partition added. With correct partitioning would easily carry 4 shetlands. The horse area is light and well ventilated with a rare raised height ceiling for the comfort of your horses.
Light airy day living with single bed above luton, and further full length bench seat/bed. Gas cooker, fridge and sink.
'Vera' came back from her plating today, she had a rear brake overhaul and is fighting fit and healthy, (requiring no other work to sail through her test), with the garage comenting on how well her engine was!
11 months plate, 6 months tax.
Payload 1660kg (amount of weight you can carry and remain with the 5600kg gross weight capacity)
£4,400 ono

Carradale Princess Leah
Mare 35.5" 2000
Sire: Womble of crafton
Dam: Brinleyview Pained Lady
Winner of affiliated Championship, Leah was successfully shown before she was covered and the sold into into a private home as a pet. She Bred a piebald filly from that covering, which remained unregistered, & she has not been covered since.
Leah came to us when the children lost interest last year, she has a very quiet, unflappable temperament and will go on to make a super childs riding pony, or quality brood mare for any stud wishing to breed broken colour.
£600

Kerswell Peppercorn
Stallion 30.5" 1990
Sire: Kerswell Nijinsky
Dam: Orcop Pixie
Peppercorn is the reason the word 'gentleman' exists. He has the most amazing kind, gentle, easy temperament of any shetland we have owned, let alone stallion.
He runs happily with just one mare or a small herd, is patient but playful with his foals, and is completely trustworthy with even the smallest of children climbing around his legs and grooming him.
All his foals not only inherit this wonderful disposition, but his superb correct free flowing movement.
Despite his slightly advanced years Peppercorn remains highly fertile, and with his excellent bloodlines would be an asset to any stud.
Probably the hardest decision of all is the one to part with Peppercorn, but sadly the logistics of our current situation make it impossible for us to keep him. Peppercorn's price is negotiable to an approved home only.
Possible lease may be considered.
Sold pending completion

A Correct mare with a depth of bone, Ellie is a very kind and friendly mare, who is a delight to own.
A regular breeder, (although her colt foals were not registered by her previous owner), Ellie had a late filly in 2009, so has been left empty this year. She is a fantastic mother, completely taking our earlier weanlings under her wing alongside her own foal.
