PIROUETTE SHETLAND STUD

 Oliver

My gentle giant, well he's only 14.2hh, but does width count...... and lets face it, next to a miniature anything looks huge!

All the Shetties love Olly, he is totally unflappable, and once they shetlands are over their initial shock of his size at first meeting, they totally accept him. If he's lucky they even allow him in the shelter with them!

Marsh Reuben

1970 - 2009

Reu was with us for 30 years, and looked remarkable for his grand age of 39. Although no longer with us, he will always warrant a special place on this page, and in our hearts.

Having had horses all our lives, he was my 9th birthday present from my mom when i outgrew my 11.2 Prince Phillip Cup pony. Over the years we had many fantastic times together, one day eventing, WHP classes, riding home with the hounds, and even meeting Princess Ann when representing our local Riding Club. My most treasued childhood memory of all is sneaking out of the house aged 11yrs, cycling 3 miles to the stables at 6am, and galloping in the morning mist along the river with a delighted Reu, (we won't mentioned mom's heart attack at finding an empty bed!).

Daisy came over from Romania & had obviously been abused judging by her condition, and her fear.... She was so malnourished we were unable to tell she was in foal until very close to foaling.

She is now a wonderful relaxed, (& greedy) lady, if a little stubborn! Instead of cowering from almost any movement these days she brays when we arrive, and will not be quiet until she has a cuddle to say hello. She is very skilled at getting her own way, but, aware we are being conned, we figure she probably deserves it!

Squiff

Rescued at the eleventh hour from Swansea Pound  by Many Tears Rescue. Squiff joined us over  years ago and, apart from the odd sock, is wonderful. He adores the foals and is so patient their curiosity. Watching them play takes up many an afternoon in the summer.
